Tepache

This pineapple fermented drink is sweet, fizzy and delicious.


Ingredients:

  • Skin of a pineapple

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 2 stick of cinnamon

  • 2 -3 cloves (or 1/2 tea spoon of nutmeg)

  • 2 tablespoon maple syrup (optional)

  • 4 cup of water

Steps:

  1. In a pitcher add all the ingredients

  2. Cover with a cloth and leave on the counter room temperature for 48h

  3. Strain and enjoy or store in the fridge for up to a few weeks.
