Spicy Hummus and Sundried tomato Hummus

Ingredients : Spicy:

  • 1 can (540 ml) chickpeas, rinsed and drained

  • 2 - 3 cloves garlic

  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) water

  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) tahini (sesame butter)

  • 1 lemons, for the juice

  • 1 table spoon Cumin

  • 1/2 tea spoon cayenne pepper

  • 1 table spoon parsley


Sundried tomato:

  • 1 can (540 ml) chickpeas, rinsed and drained

  • 2 - 3 cloves garlic

  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) water

  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) tahini (sesame butter)

  • 1 lemons, for the juice

  • 2 table spoon Italian seasoning

  • 1/2 tea spoon chili flakes

  • 1 cup sundried tomato

  • 1/4 cup tomato oil


Steps :

  1. In a blender or food processor, purée all the ingredients until smooth.

  2. If desired drizzle with olive oil.

  3. Serve as a dip with plain or toasted pita bread, or even potatoes!
